Crisis on 2007

Days ago when I was having some serious discussion with friends in about the economic of Malaysia. (Wah-lau how serious can it be in Mamak Store??!!) Every sectors are complaining about the market is slow, collection is bad, sales drop, no commission and many many more. But 1 thing is clearly weird why the share market keeps on moving upwards like going to break the all-time historical high of 1,400 in the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index. (probably too many syndicate out there... therefore, watch out your investment.)

Not much of a conservative person I am, I like gambling, I like high risk with high return. But this year the bull run in the share market didn't lure me in. Why?? Perhaps I got burned during the beginnng of the year where most of my counter from profits turn to losses. Despite of that, I'm not discouraged and diasppointed with my picks of certain counters and I believe to make money from share market you must have "in-sider news". If not you'll end up like me make money in the beginning and make losses at the end.

My personal opinion for 2007 is because of one norm, the 10 years rotation of economy crisis which take place in both second half of the year 1987 and 1997 after June. (Be extra cautious about 2007 because July is coming!!!) During the pre-crisis, nearly every stock exchange was a top investment destination and resulted heavy exchange activity daily. (certainly this year 2007 China, Hong Kong and Japan are enjoying the bomb in the share market). What does it end up? Too huge bubble in the market and investor (syndicate) tend to pull out from the market and overnight the share market crash. Who is the victim? Retail investor like you and me who are not too sensitive or too optimistic towards the share market.

My advice might not be true but hopefully retail investor like you and me be more alert and sensitive about every movement and news in the world in order for you to cut loss early rather than seeing the market crash yet you helpless do nothing about your own money.

Despite of the above negative and pessimistic opinion, we still can Make Money even the share market is going downwards. HOW?? Well, here is the little tips for you all. Short the Future!!!

YUMIKO CHENG AGAIN!!!

Last weekend, Yumiko 鄭希怡(Hong Kong artist) embarrased again in Canada while she was performing. Her bra tube has accidentally slip and flashed her nipples without knowing during the New Talent Singing Awards Toronto Audition show at Wonderland, Canada. The same accident last year happened this year and I believed she will be on the headlines again on entertainment news, magazine and newspaper.

Last year, on 10 December 2006, while performing a stunt for TVB's annual charity show, her trousers were accidentally pulled off by Chin Ka Lok and revealed her G-String underwear. This caused great embarrassment for Yumiko and the incident went on to dominate the Hong Kong headlines.

I strongly believe that in this world, people are more interested on seeing victim (artist) rather than enjoy artist performance when there is embarrassment take place. Same case goes to Paris Hilton when she was locked up and being headlines for all kind of media from news, magazines and newspaper in the world. (This inevitability will boost the sales of the media and make tonnes of cash!!)

Insurance for My Baby

Last week, I was approached by a friend who work as an insurance agent and recommended me a new insurance policy for my baby and myself. Most of you who know me as a self-employed for the pass 6 months. 0 Income + Many Expenses. She proposed to me about the new insurnce policy of their company offered for my new born baby and myself. I don't like to promote this but this policy seems worth to share here with all of you. (I'm not their agent, repeat!!!)

As a self-employed, you'll realised that you don't have fixed income monthly, no EPF (Employee Provisional Fund)contribute by you or your employer. (Obviously you will loss out the retirement benefit in the long run)

The policy is very simple. You are require to pay a premium every month ranging from RM300, RM600, RM900 or RM1,200 for 10 years. That's it. No catch!!

The benefit from the Insurance Policy are:

1. During the 10 years any accident fall on you, no need to pay premium but still entitle the benefit there on. (Touch wood!! Indeed, good protection as the insurance company will insured the payer for life and disability once you sign up.)

2. You could withdraw the money you invested from year 11 onwards until the age of 86.

3. If you want to withdraw in a later date the amount will be higher because the Insurance company will compound your interest and principal every year. (This will be very lucrative.)

4. As a self-employed individual, take this opportunity to save money like you're contributing to the EPF. (Rate offer 7.5% pa higher than EPF 4.5% pa). Advise to pro-blogger.

5. Comparable investment on this policy is better than invest in property. Instalment for property at least 20 to 30 years. This Insurance Policy maximum 10 years.

6. Insurance policy secured return, rental unsecure.

7. Insurance policy no need renovation cost, buy new property you need to incured renovation before rent out. (When you sell your property, renovation always not taken into account.)

8. No maintenance fee for insurance policy but property YES.

9. Property you need to wait for appreciation however, we hardly enjoy the appreciation of property price because the bank BLR (Base Lending Rate) fluctuate based on the appreciation of the property. You just save for staying for FREE in the property you belong.

10. Tax deduction for Insurance premium from 50% up to 100%. Property No!!

11. Many more to explain from there on.

Think again if you want to invest your money smartly in the future. I principally agreed that the scheme of this insurance is very attractive but back then, we must evaluate our financial status which allow us to invest or not.

If you want to know more about the policy, I can be your first agent!!! Ha Ha Ha!!!
Just kidding, if you want to know more about the policy I'll introduce my friend to you. I'm not the the hard-core insurance agent out there on the street. LOL!!!

Morphis 3D Motion

For those who work in Golden Triangle especially places near Sungai Wang or Lot 10 Kuala Lumpur, you will notice this huge space ship underneath the Monorail Station at the Sungai Wang stop.

The Morphis 3D Stimulator organised by a private company in Malaysia runs a road show on the busy Jalan Sultan Ismail infront of Sungai Wang Plaza. You will easily spot the space ship when you're crossing the road or driving pass Sungai Wang Plaza. The event is conjunction with the celebration of Visit Malaysia Year 2007

What is Morphis 3D Stimulator?

The Morphis 3D is a highly mobile dynamic motion stimulator ride. For your own safety anyone who is pregnant and suffer heart problem or similar is advised not to ride on this highly mobile dynamic motion stimulator.

The Morphis 3D Motion (Impress?? So So only...)

Top view of the Morphis 3D, is bald. Ha Ha Ha

The side angle shows more clearer of the entire space ship.

The space ship is moving in a reasonable speed. Seems shaky... will it fall out??!!

The Morphis stand elegantly after the show.

I'm not sure whether this is a government sponsor project or a private company road show. But as long as it is in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007 event it is obviously a government sponsored project. Safe to take a ride.

Morphis 3D Motion will cost you:

Ticket: RM 15
Duration: 5 minutes
Location: Infront of Sungai Wang Plaza (underneath Sg. Wang Monorail stop)

My Dream High School

During my high school time, I don't think my school got any cheerleaders or parties like the American high school students had (those in the American Pie movie... how I wish I born there. Ha Ha Ha!!!). The cheerleaders will come and support the sports events during pre-match or post match.

Is it because of our Ministry of Education imposed too many ruling over it or our teacher is not equiped with such knowledge or Malaysians are not active at all. What do you think?

Today, students should enjoy what we have missed in the old time. People are more open nowadays and should have try something like the youtube below. Something great and something memorable in the life time.

Copa America 2007, Venezuela

Tomorrow morning 6:00AM (Malaysian Time) will be the 42nd edition of Copa America 2007 live from Venezuela. This year tournament will be feature by 12 nations all from the South America continent beside 2 were by invitation the team Mexico and USA.

The format of the tournament:
1. Separated into 3 groups

Group A (Venezuela, Uruguay, Peru, Bolivia)
Group B (Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Ecuador)
Group C (Argentina, USA, Colombia, Paraguay)

2. Quater-final will be represent by Top 2 team in each group and 2 Best 3rd team among the group

3. Final will play on the 15th July 2007.

I believe when the Brazil and Argentina game live in the morning, most of the Mamak Store will be crowded and packed by football fans. For bosses who are considerate, please let your staff to watch it lar (anyway it just last 90minutes and about an hour of gossip about the match.)

Good Bye Gunners, Welcome to Nou Camp

Thiery Henry says Goodbye Wenger and the fellow Gunners. Well, in the other end of the europe Nou Camp, Barcelona is welcoming the all time highscorer of English Premier League player Thiery Henry to the new club joining Ronaldinho, Messi and E'to to the new La Liga campaign after the summer of 2007.

Henry posturing at the Nou Camp. Photo from Soccernet

Arsenal's fans will be disappointed again in the new season of English Premier League 2007 - 2008 with the loss of their talisman Thiery Henry. As a football fans, I personally don't wish to see this happen as we have more live soccer from English Premier League compare to La Liga from Astro.

Arsenal has declined their standing in English Premier League sharply after the departured of Patrick Viera where the frenchman heading to Juventus and apparently joining Inter Milan subsequently the relegation of Juventus in 2005 season in Italy.

This year 2007, we see the talented striker of Arsenal, Thiery Henry move to spain will directly impact the attacking and style of play for Arsenal in the forth coming season. Can you rely so much on youngster Wenger? Well, I personally don't think so.

As a sportsman since I was young I knew that a team must have a play-maker that boost the team confident and motivation to go further to achieve success as a team. As my father always says "Small success you must be hardworking, Huge success you must work as a Team".

Without Thiery Henry brilliant assist and attack will Gunners be a mid-table team in the English Premier League. I don't doubt it. (Probably Lower... Ha Ha Ha...)

My Nokia N70

Lately, I was busy following Hong Kong TVB series "Heart of Greed" (溏心風暴). This TVB series was voted as one of the high rating series in Hong Kong for the past 2 years and the series peaked at its season high of 48 points within the final minutes of the final episode (Total 40 episodes). If you got time, rent it at your nearest TVB store. You will not forget the happy go lucky character of "Dak Dak Tei" and the mouthwatering Abalone in the series!!!

Well, back to my absence of blogging for the past few days...My Nokia N70 is with me for the past 9 months and I've been using heavily on calling and receiving (of course SMS lar...). But, I hardly utilise all the functions in the phone until I started to blog. I've been using the camera function quite extensively recently to take down photos and share it in my blog.

Last weekend, when I wanted to use the camera phone to take down photos in Yin Kee's new apartment...I just discovered the lens doesn't work at all. I've tried many ways and even switch on and off the phone. But it came back to square one. It just doesn't work. I recalled I didn't drop the phone and didn't have major knock on the phone but how come it doesn't work. How unlucky I am!!!

It doesn't seem fair to me because I started using the camera function for the past 3 months and it just "koyak" like this meh... I really have to re-consider if I were to buy a new Nokia phone any more in the future. Will Sony Erickson anywhere better than this??

My Nokie N70. Still look brand new...

This angle shows the Camera function at the back of the phone and it is protected.

Push down the cover and you can take photos anytime and handy... (but not for me now!)

The lens look perfect outside but not working at all.

Look... the screen is empty!!! No image from the lens!!!

Lucky the second camera is still function well... but who will take photos from this view???

"Goods Sold Are Not Returnable" or "No Refund Once Sold"

Something good to share to all consumers. Indeed, all of us are consumer for anything in this world. An interesting email received today for the title "Goods Are Not Returnable" or "No Refund Once Sold".
Under Contract Law of Malaysia the above words is bullshit!!! Well it seems the government really protects the consumers!!!

Do you notice that most of the time, the receipt / invoice you received from the merchant carries this exclusion clause or similarly worded statement: "Goods sold are not returnable" or "No refund once sold".
Please remember that : "As long as your goods is purchased for home use and not for business (i.e. to be resold), the above exclusion clause is VOID.

That means, as long as the good is defective, regardless of what is worded, you CAN get back all your money spent . You do not have to accept a repair on the good or an exchange. You CAN ask for a refund. AND you are LEGALLY right and entitled to!

And most of the time the merchant will refuse to return you your money.

You can threaten the merchant with four words: "SEE YOU IN COURT!"

The court here refers to the Small Claims Tribunal Court. Any goods which is worth RM25,000 and below can apply to this Court.

However, you don't have to tell them what court! All you have to pay is RM10 admin fee and the loser (the merchant) will have to refund you the money PLUS the admin fee!
I have seen that most educated people are cowed by such unfair wordings (which includes a few of my friends).

Pls try not to let the merchant fleece you the next time you have defective goods.

You can file this On the 16th floor of Putra Place (The Mall opposite Putra World Trade Centre) . The form cost RM5.00. The Tribunal will settle within 2 months period.

Low Fare - RM 1 FLY with Malaysia Airlines

Few years ago when AirAsia roll out their business plan to Malaysian. I still clearly remember it's tag line "Everyone Can Fly". They put up ads about air fare as low as RM 1 to lure public. (I personally feel cheated because there are alot of add up taxes here and there. It could be amounted to few hundred. So, prove me how Everyone can Fly.)

From 20th June 2007 onwards Malaysia Airlines offers Air Fare as low as RM 1 for a period of 1 month. (Period 20th June 2007 to 22 July 2007)

Anyone feels like taking a few days off from office go to this link LOW FARE TICKET from Malaysia Airlines before it is too late.

The Return of HK Pop Queen - Sammi Cheng

Have been years never see Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) in action in screen or musics. Rumours about her fighting against her illness for the past 2 years and now she's picking up from her health and make a come back on Hong Kong most lucrative Entertainment Industry.

I'm not her "die hard fans" but looking at it she's coming out strongly this year with her recent album and host several concerts in countries like Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. I'm not surprise that she will clinch a few musical awards at end of this year.

In fact, I've really got nothing to say much about her but one thing for sure I will give her 2 Thumbs Up for her attitude towards life and career.

This weekend 22nd and 23rd of June 2007, Sammi Cheng will host her concert at Arena of Stars, Genting Highland. If you want to catch her in action, is still not too late to get a ticket now with ticketcharge.

The girls were excited about the gathering because Joyce brought back a few LV from Paris and Dubai for them (Of course is free lar... If you want free LV handbags please look for Joyce.. Ha Ha Ha!!!)

After waiting for about half an hour our appetizer only arrives (But the girls are still talking and playing with their new bags... OMG... how come girls are so CRAZY about LV???)

One of the boxes with LV handbags. I think the packaging already cost few hundred Ringgit already.

The first appetizer (with salmon, clams, prawn, calamari and lots more) ordered by Joyce... Slurps can't wait to eat.

This appetizer is vegetarian and the vege called "Rocket" according from Joyce. Funny right??!! The vege taste is abit bitter... anyway She said the vege got detoxin function wor..(so who smokes alot must eat lor!!!)

My main course... serve with Beef... Yummy!!!

Ai Lim's main course... sure she can't finish with this kind of big serving. Don't worry you still got Kay Peng to finish all the stuff for you.

Look, Peng Leong looks damn hungry right... This is his second main course of the evening.. HA HA HA!!!! (he said raining that's why very hungry wor..)

After the meals the girls quickily ordered few deserts like our next table... I don't like sweet stuff (afraid of diabetes.. Ha Ha Ha) But the deserts look damn nice and tasty.

Tiramisu from the House. Our last desert, waiting for the bill and heading to Green Box immediately to "K" section at Sg Wang. Tonight, we can sing all out from our throat!!!

OMG!!! The girls still showing off their LV begs on escalator. (feature Pauline and Joyce). Tak boleh tahan...

Thank you Joyce for organising the gathering, from dinner to karaoke even she's busy running around for her apartment. I hope the next gathering will be Joyce's open house. "MUSHROOM PAN MEE"

This morning after running all the errands, drop by at one of the long survive "Mushroom Pan Mee" store at Chow Kit. The store is run by few old man but they keep the place friendly and warm because most of the return customers are regulars. I often have lunch there back then.

But after marriage, I hardly visit the place anymore(I live in Cheras but the place in Chow Kit)... occasionally, drop by there like once a month or more. Well, after I've tried so many "Pan Mee or Ban Mee" around in Kuala Lumpur, I found the only 2 best Pan Mee in Kuala Lumpur is the "Mushroom Pan Mee" at Chow Kit and the other one is "Spicy Pan Mee" located behind Jalan T.A.R respectively.

The famous "Mushroom Pan Mee" at Chow Kit.

LOOK!!! The whole Pan Mee is full of "Mushroom"!!!

Less than 15 minutes I finished the whole bowl...

Tonight, me, pauline, peng leong, joyce, ah gay, ai lim and kay peng will dine in one of the fine Italian Restaurant in downtown. More photos will be up....

We walked in to the Gynae office... Guess what the nurse went out for lunch already.

The whole office is empty... Only 2 of us.... Playing around with my camera phone.

The weighing machine shows....

Damn it!!! I am 80KG....

Snapshots on some of the guide for new parents.

Finally, the Gynae is back and with other patient... When is my turn??

Another month has passed quietly... Today, me and pauline are going to visit our gynae for monthly check up again. We reach Damansara Specialist rather late in the afternoon that is all because of the Hong Kong TVB series "Heart of Greed" that made us watch until 3:00am yesterday. (...)

The little baby of ours is approximately 31 weeks-old already...Gynae did some scanning for the baby but we can't really see the 4D Effect this time because she is too big inside and taken alot of space!!!

Google and Yahoo Search Engine At The Same Time

This morning received an e-mail that is pretty funny and would like to share here. It is all about search engine. Scroll down...

Do you realise that when we key in keywords in our favourite search engine like Google, Yahoo, MSN Live or others on average 70% of the first 100 results are different. HOW COME? Don't ask me I also can't answer you at the mean time. (Most probably is the differentiation of the way both search engine's spider crawled, I think...)

Try this gahooyoogle.com. It just simply amazing and you will find lot more easier when surfing the internet where the search results are shown in a split screen, Yahoo results on the left and Google results on the right.

The above page is collaboration between 2 of the internets most used and successful search engine.

"Skim Cepat Kaya" a.k.a Get Rich Fund

Today, The Star headline Web Block about Skim Cepat Kaya a.k.a Get Rich Fund. This really ring me a bell about a dinner I attended few months ago hosted by this group of scam.

The return of Get Rich Fund is out of logic. Basically, a few tips they try to lure prospect are:

1. Capital investment is little from few hundred to RM10,000
2. The ROI (return on investment) is up to 300%
3. Capital return in less than 3 months

All the myths created by this scam is to lure those who are greed and want to have easy money fast with high return. They even promise to see you and update your status weekly. But slowly, you find hard to contact them and can't even reach them on their mobile. What's next? They have run away with your hard earned savings and probably enjoy Cigar on the Beach now.

Lately, Bank Negara of Malaysia had banned a few websites since April 2007 and they are taking action against all these scams that try to lure public money and run away overnight.

Again, no free lunch in this world as always mentioned by my Mum. If you really want to make easy money. Try online. Start a blog. Ha Ha Ha.

I'm Back

For the last 2 days, my body is in total hybernation mode "tired + exhausted" after doing all the cleaning on Sunday because of the bloody fload in Kuala Lumpur. Finally, my ache heels after 2 days.

Looking forward to this weekend, 2 special ocassions. Firstly, Father's Day on Sunday and the other one is the gathering with friends coming back from Dubai and Singapore. (But this time, the gathering will not be involve a lot of people because Law, Grace and Daniel is too far from us to join the party. He He he..Wish you guys are here too...)

Father's Day, the most headache one.... Where to dine? For those, who really wants to celebrate on Sunday. I adviced you to make early reservation as most of the restaurants will be fully occupy and you have to wait for hours if you are just walk-in customers. If you want to check on the restaurant's reservation here is the link for you.

Terrible Weekend!!! Fload in Kuala Lumpur Prime Area.

Last Sunday, as usual I have my family dinner with my wife and the in-laws. Everyone was talking about the 2007 Tennis French Open finals between Roger Federer VS Rafal Nadal. We planned to have a early dinner and than watch the finals live from Roland Garros.

This time, I personally favour Roger Federer to win on this clay court surface and this is the only Gland Slam crown to elude him.

While waitng for the live telecast, rain started pouring around Klang Valley area. My father-in-law insisted to go makan some where near the house (Ong Lay "Big Fried") instead of order take away.

So, all the soldiers follow the commander's order and heading to the restaurant. Not more than 30 minutes enjoying the lovely "steam fish head"...My mother-in-law rang me up and told me the rain getting worst and the water level from the drain was rising. Well, I delivered the message to my father-in-law and everyone on the dinner table was quite annoyed about the rain. In less than 2 minutes, my mother-in-law called me again, saying the kitchen is fload already.

OMG... this is not a good news. As my wife house is located in one of the Kuala Lumpur fload area (Jalan Raja Laut). Without much hesitation me and the brother-in-law quicikily go back and move our car away to a higher place. (I parked at Sime Darby building). Below are some of the terrible scenes for those of you who never experience fload before.

I'm the first one to reach my wife's house at Lorong Tiong Nam 4.

Pauline and her sister reach the house about 15 minutes later. Water Level 6-inches from ground.

Pauline showing off the water level is rising to her knee.

Everyone was busy rescue all the stuff in the living room. The pregnant Pauline just look relax only.... I wish I'm pregnant now... Ha Ha Ha...

The kitchen is gone. We can't save so much with our bare hands. Hope the rain stops and the water level goes down.

Everyone looks exhausted after moving Pauline's beloved piano and the safe box (500kg).

The fload rise about 3FT high already. OMG!!!

Free swimming lesson from Mr. Doggy!!! Luckily it wasn't a snake!!! Niamah...

To those who often drop by at Pauline house. This is the damage the F**king fload cause to us.

The Living Room in total mess now.

Suddenly, I was thinking of going to pee. WTF!!! The toilet also gone...

Toile cannot go. French Open finals cannot watch. Fridge also don't dare to open... Really sucks!!!

View taken from 2nd floor of Pauline's house. It was midnight!!!

Feel like in Vanice now, Kuala Lumpur turn to "water village"!!!

We waited until 1:00am when the water level went down and started to do the cleaning until 2:30am. I can feel my whole body is aching in office now....

Again, I really don't understand what the hack DBKL is going to take any action against this act of god. More prevention on fload or improve the city drainage system??? I don't see any improvement here. (As I experienced this before during year 2003). It is shame to tell people that the at one of the Kuala Lumpur prime area is floaded like this. How are we going to achieve Wawasan 2020 with this kind of infrastructure the government of Malaysia serves it's people. Pak Lah or Datuk Bandar please do something to aid the helpless.
Google
